1968 Mexico olympics

It was the 60s, etched by the rebel youth expressing through all social manifestations, radiating into to the world of Atheltics. Through its greatest form of universal and media projection, the Olympic Games, the Afroamerican athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos starred in one of the most iconic images of the decade: Mexico 1968, their fists raised from the podium as the USA national anthem played in the background, two fists signaling towards the struggle and standing true to the fight for civil rights in their country.
