There it stands, watching time go by, says the pop (or popular) song, referencing one of Madrid's aesthetic landmarks. This architectural witness has observed historical events since 1778. Situated in its central location at the monumental heart of the capital, it boasts the stern, severe, and transcendent appearance of the neoclassical style of its time.
