    When audacity and creativity are put to the service of technique, milestones which revolutionize the ordinary within an activity are reached , forever changing its course and directing it towards progress. When the landing surface of height jumpers changed from sand to mat, the athlete Dick Fosbury surprised the world in Mexico 1968, approaching the “back-first”, decisively marking the future of this practice.

    Quand l’audace et la créativité se mettent au service de la technique il est alors possible d’assister à des événements majeurs qui chamboulent les habitudes d’une activité et la font progresser. Quand la chute des sauteurs commença à se produire sur un matelas, au lieu de le faire sur le sable, l’athlète Dick Fosbury créa la sensation à Mexico 1968 en réalisant le saut de dos, ce qui bouleversa définitivement cette spécialité.
